This 4-day course is designed to provide the fellow student with basic clinical skills for diagnosing and treating specific syndromes affecting the lumbar spine and pelvic girdle by recognizing signs and symptoms related to those syndromes. Through lecture and demonstration, the following topics will be covered: anatomy, biomechanics and arthrokinematics, pathology, pelvic girdle dysfunction, peripheral nerve entrapment of the lower extremities, segmental mobility testing, joint mobilizations, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue mobilizations and clinic/home exercises.
